Prep Volleyball Insider: How Olivia Bratton's versatility is an asset to Mustangs — Fargo Schools news

WEST FARGO — Olivia Bratton is a Swiss Army knife of sorts for the No. 1-ranked West Fargo Sheyenne volleyball team. The junior leads the Mustangs with 41 service aces, has a second-most 262 kills and is tied for the second-most digs at 212 in 31 matches this season. On the roster, Bratton is listed as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. I fill the role where I need to, Bratton told The Forum following Sheyenne s three-set sweep over Fargo Shanley on Tuesday night. When I m in the back row, I try to be as defensively quick as possible, go for everything and be really loud. In the front row, I just try to put the ball away. Bratton has been pivotal in Sheyenne s 29-2 overall record and undefeated 13-0 mark in Division 2A Eastern Dakota Conference play. She s really developed her game quite a bit, said Mustangs head coach Leah Newton. She s got a very powerful swing she s getting really smart with her choices, when she can t get that big swing. B
